Stretch Lagoon

The lagoon is a staging point for those who choose to do the route from the top. There was a group of six camps preparing and once again it was too much for them that the snail grundled in and set up on the edge of the classic outback lagoon. One gentleman wandered over to us to again find out what we were doing there. He took his hat off to the snail. She was a bit put out really as she didn't think it was any big deal.
Bliss!
The remains of this ancient 44gallon drum made an amazing fire for the evening.
We woke to two brolgas feeding on the edge of the lagoon with a Spoonbill and as we ate breakfast a swarm of budgies landed on the edge of the water just below us for a drink.
