It is good to be back and I will try to catch up over the next couple of nights.
We went from Turkey Creek to Halls Creek - the population primarily black and nomads.
After seeing our first garage tarmac rage we headed for the Tanami. Not a toad to be seen!
The road into Wolf Crater was very challenging but we had a very pleasant night there.

| Wall of the crater. Interesting but not in my top ten. |
Back on the Tanami we found it becoming increasingly rougher as we approached Billiluna Community. As it was Sunday and petrol was not available we decided to drive 13 kms down the top of the Canning Stock Route to Stretch Lagoon - known for birds!!

| This should have been a warning! |
This gorgeous family just coming off the stock route pulled up and ever so politely asked "what the hell we were doing there". They seemed relieved when we explained we were really just going out to Stretch Lagoon.
And the effort was rewarded.
