Broome

We had managed to book a site in Broome as we were warned it is crazy at this time of the year.
We arrived before lunch and were directed to our home for the next three days.
If you tried to put together a list of the worst features you could possibly have in a site, in the heat, we cracked it!!!
Not only was there no shade within view, it was beside the boom gate of a massive village - translate that to mean it was mostly cabins and units for workers - coming and going at all hours of the night.
The boom gate is of the species that you have to swipe, a canvas covered cable automatically drops down for you to drive over smacking the ground and once you are gone it slaps back up into place. Music to your ears!

John named it Stalag 38! Pick the snailhouse.
