The drive from Muttaburra to Hughenden through the stations really emphasised that the area is back in drought but John as always was able to find "a tree" and set up Cafe Snailhouse for lunch. Fortunately there was a slight breeze to take the edge off the heat and slow the flies down. It would have been easy to lay back for a snooze after eating!
