Getting Ready to go

Just a few days more than a month to our planned early June departure. Whilst replacing the wheel bearings today, after their bearing cap losses last year, I discovered that one of the electric brake magnets was damaged. Job on hold till new magnets are obtained.
Upgrades in progress. A 600W inverter and a stove-top espresso maker to improve the coffee when we are not on power (27 out of 72 nights last year)
A petrol chainsaw to replace the battery/cordless butterknife for non power recharging opportunities.
An oval hibachi cast-iron BBQ for more convenient small fires.
Four new tyres for the van, two on the ground and two on the back.
Rebuilt plywood structure for the rear of the prado to better store things.
80W solar panel for the 2nd battery in the Prado to run the freezer when off power for days.
Mary's camera rebuilt.

The Plan
Head north west then zig zag up through the channel country to the gulf, then west to the kimberley and on to Broome. Returning home via the tanami desert to Alice Springs.
This will be one of my few turns at the keyboard as Mary doesn't know I've just set up the new blog.
Cheers
John
